Togetherness vs Competiveness

We are often told we need to be better, do better. Whether it s better than others or better than we last did. There seems to be an implied message in the world that somehow you need to keep improving who you are, an implied message that we are not good enough as we are.

And so we start comparing ourselves with one another, we start getting those negative thoughts and emotions raising in our minds and our bodies.

There is no need for constant competitiveness. With others, or with yourself.

Decide what works for you, what makes you truly happy. Do you like competitive activities? Games? Nobody says to stop them ;)

When it comes to your performance in an activity (sports or else), there is no obligation to bring this little voice of competitiveness with you.

Instead.... wouldn't it be much more enjoyable to join a group for an activity and just focus on enjoying every single moment of it? with only focus on you, you body and the way the activity is making you feel, all the things you discover? Wouldn't it?

So here's a challenge for you... why don't you try it for yourself..next time your little inner voice start comparing you to your past self or to someone else, accept the thought and then invite the thought to go away as you intend to have a great time right now, and if this is the only thing that voice has to say...it is not welcome and it doesn't serve you at this time.

You are good enough as you are.

Life is short.... Live...Laugh...Love....

Enjoy every single a moment of it... and smile...

Smile as much and as often as can be

With love,
