✨ Travelling & Self-care✨

2024 travels have started and, as every year, I make time to reflect & review my self-care routine during business trips.

Taking time to prioritise both work and self-care can be a challenge, yet, it is essential for maintaining balance and overall well-being.

Here are some ideas I have incorporated over the years which you may find beneficial for your work travel routine:

1. Researching ahead of time to find yoga studios or meditation centres near my destination. Many cities offer drop-in classes or short-term memberships for visitors.

2. If you prefer to practise on your own, pack a travel yoga mat or find a quiet space in your hotel room for some stretches and breathing exercises.

3. Consider listening to guided relaxations and meditations via apps such as Headspace or Calm, during downtime or while in transit.

4.Take advantage of any free time in your schedule to explore the local area and engage in activities that bring you joy, whether it's trying new foods, visiting a museum, or going for a scenic hike.

5. Make a conscious effort to disconnect from work-related emails and phone calls during non-business hours. Allow yourself to fully unwind and recharge so that you can show up energised and focused for your work responsibilities.

6. Finally, remember that self-care is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Experiment with different practices and find what works best for you and your unique needs.

By prioritising your well-being, you'll be able to show up as your best self both at work and in your personal life. A pretty cool win-win if you ask me 😉
