What Do I Do Now?

Updated: Apr 21

Ever wondered that yourself?
When a project, a relationship, a chapter of your life ends and you are suddenly faced with the one question: "What do I do now?"

"Change is the only constant" (Heraclitus)

Change is an inevitable aspect of life, a constant that paradoxically remains our only certainty. It challenges our comfort zones and prompts us to evolve. And, as such, the way we respond to change is significantly influenced by our mindset, the internal lens through which we perceive and interpret the world around us. A mindset rooted in growth and openness can transform the challenges posed by change into opportunities for development, whereas a fixed mindset might see these same challenges as insurmountable obstacles.

Mindfulness, Mindset, And change

Mindfulness plays a pivotal role in this dynamic, serving as a bridge between change and mindset. It is the practice of being present and fully engaged with the moment, without judgement and with an attitude of kindness and curiosity. It teaches us to observe our thoughts and feelings without attaching ourselves to them, allowing us to respond to life's changes with clarity and equanimity. We then develop the capability to grow awareness of our habitual reactions to change and give us the space to choose how we respond. Instead of being swept away by fear or resistance, mindfulness enables us to approach change with flexibility and openness.

The intricate relationship between change, mindfulness, and mindset weaves a complex yet enlightening narrative about personal growth and adaptation.

And this is where coaching can support...
